Lori was born and raised in Reedley. She attended Reedley Schools, including Reedley College where she was elected Student Body President. She continued her education at UC Berkley, receiving a degree in Political Science in 1980. Lori soon relocated to Sacramento where she began her career as a Sacramento County Sheriff.

   Early in life Lori exhibited signs of the ‘Wonderlust’. Often accompanied by her mother,

Suzanne, she explored many wonderful and amazing places in the United States and around the world.

   In 2000, Lori learned the meaning of True Love with the birth of her only child, Brian Charles Baker. “Deputy Baldwin” transferred from Patrol to the Sacramento County Courthouse so her working hours would accommodate more time with her son. Lori retired from the Sheriff’s Department in 2015. She passed away suddenly at her Sacramento home on March 9th.

   Lori was predeceased by her father Don and sister Lynn. She is survived by Son Brian, mother Suzanne, brother Lance, sister Lee, many nieces and nephews, and her Wisconsin cousins Kim and Cindy.

   A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 11th 1:00 at Main Event Grill, 6700 Tarshes Dr. Carmichael, CA. 95608.
