Newest volunteers for Reedley Parkway

Please join me in recognizing the newest volunteers for the Reedley Parkway: Reedley Dynasty SKILLS Center, Central Valley Teen Challenge, and Lee’s Service! They join a variety of organizations from schools, churches, businesses, and families that have each adopted one or more 0.1 mile sections of the Parkway.

The Parkway stretches 3.7 miles from the gazebo along the Kings River to the Reedley Sports Park. The landscape and hardscape is maintained by a collaboration between the city and Parkway volunteers.

The Reedley Parkway Committee gives a big shout-out to the Knights of Columbus, led by Ruben Macedo. Monthly for the first four years of the Adopt-a-Parkway program, the Knights maintained a full mile of the Parkway!  We have all benefitted from their commitment to service.

There is still a small section of the Parkway looking for your support. Four people can typically accomplish the work for a 0.1 mile section in two hours per month. The Reedley Parkway Committee has tools available and provides signage to recognize your organization. If you are interested in supporting the Parkway, contact me at 355-5880 or send an email to
